- Confirm your state HEAR/HOMES portal status (live vs waitlist)
- Utility account number and service address match deed
- Household income docs if program requires eligibility proof

- Contractor license and insurance on file for audit
Project sequencing
- Energy audit completed if program requires pre/post
- Roof and electrical scope locked before heat pump if panel upgrade needed
- Permit numbers for HVAC, plumbing, or electrical work
- Do not assume rebate until written approval or reservation ID
After approval
- Save invoices with line-item labor vs equipment split
- Retain manufacturer labels and serial photos
