- Manual J sizing in writing before equipment order
- Duct sealing scope — not just outdoor unit swap
- Thermostat and rebate-eligible AHRI equipment matched
Step 4 — Solar (if applicable)
- Roof inspection passed — roof-before-solar checklist complete
- Utility interconnection timeline vs install date
- ITC basis confirmed with tax preparer — roof alone usually excluded
